Description

The official Twitter account of Shueisha Bunko announced that the novel series 2.43: Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club (2.43: Seiin Kōkō Danshi Volley-bu) is getting an anime adaptation.

The novel series was created by Yukako Kabei with illustrations of Aiji Yamakawa and is divided into three arcs with a total of 5 volumes published from March 2015 to September 2018.

Kabei published on the official website of Shuisha the first chapter of a fourth arc subtitled “the next 4 years”.

A manga adaptation drawn by Yamakawa launched on Cocohana September 2018 issue.

Why it could be interesting?

Yukako Kabei, the author of the novel series “Kieli” published in english by Yen Press and “The Sleepy Residents of Birdcage Manor”, is mostly known to the big public as a part of group GoRA, 7 authors that created the popular franchise “K“, an original project animated by studio GoHands that now counts many sequels, manga adaptations and light novels.

This series seems to follow the same path of other high school sports anime but It could be interesting to see Kabei’s adaptation of this recurring theme considering that this is her first novel that gets an anime.

Aiji Yamakawa Illustration

The beautiful illustrations of Aiji are another point that makes me really curious to know more about these characters (check the gallery on the novel official site or take a look at the manga drawings here).
