Release Date


Jujutsu Kaisen (Sorcery Fight) is a dark fantasy manga series created and illustrated by Akutami Gege published on Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha. Nine volumes of the series are currently released with a simulpub edition in English edited by VIZ media and the first volume of the manga published in January by the same company.


The series was first published as a four-chapter manga on Jump GIGA in 2017 with the title “Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical School”; this volume is now called Volume 0 and can be considered as a prequel of Jujutsu Kaisen.

An anime adaptation was announced on the 52nd issue of Shonen Jump.

Why it could be interesting?

Jujutsu Kaisen is considered as the next big name of Shonen Jump, basically the holy grail of any shonen series like the recent Demon Slayer, Dr. Stone and the Promised Neverland. An anime adaptation was almost inevitable considering the rising popularity of the series that recently reached the first position of the annual ” Recommended comics selected by Japanese bookstores “prize and was also nominated for the 65th Shogakukan Manga Awards.


“Yuuji Itadori is a high schooler who spends his days visiting his bedridden grandfather. Although he looks like your average teenager, his immense physical strength is something to behold! Every sports club wants him to join, but Itadori would rather hang out with the school outcasts in the Occult Club. Voice Actors and Teaser Visual revealed

A stage presentation for Jujutsu Kaisen held during the annual Jump Festa 2020 revealed that the voice actor Yuichi Nakamura (Bruno Buccellati in JoJo and Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail) will voice Satoru Gojo in the upcoming anime adaptation.

The official website posted a teaser visual to promote the anime.

Here’s a list of the cast of the voice actors already announced:

  • Yuuji Itadori: Junya Enoki (Horikawa Kunihiro in Touken Ranbu)
  • Megumi Fushiguro: Yuuma Uchida (Ash Lynx in Banana Fish)
  • Nobara Kugisaki: Asami Seto (Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai)
