Azur Lane is slowly rising in popularity thanks to the recent anime adaptation that has made the franchise more known even between casual anime watchers and not just hardcore gatcha players. Alter has presented numerous new figures regarding this franchise during the last hobby conventions and this time a figure of the Super Rare Iron Blood Aircraft Graf Zeppelin was announced.
Surprisingly Alter decided to produce a summer version of Graf Zeppelin as the first figure ever released of this character; the original beachside Urd skin was released as a limited skin during the summer event of Azur Lane. The original illustration drawn by the artist shiyo shows a pretty complex choreography not just for the pose of the character but also for the actual ship behind her.
The recently released figure of Prinz Eugen (here) made by the same figure manufacturer makes me really optimistic about the quality of the the figure itself but I expect the price to be quite high (Prinz Eugen official price was over 37000¥); Alter announced other figures from this franchise like this 1/7 figure of Formidable.
