The first volume of the Light Novel of Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World created by Tappei Nagatsuki and adapted in english by the publishing company Yen Press.

Re:Zero Light Novels

Re:Zero started its publication as a web novel written by Tappei that was later adapted as a light novel by Media Factory under the MF Bunko J imprint with the illustrations of Shinichirou Otsuka. As of today 21 volumes have been released in Japan with only the first 11 volumes translated in english.

The light novels expand the world of Re:Zero with many side stories and details that weren’t in the anime adaptation that ended in the middle of volume 9.

Besides the main story, a spin-off novel series called Ex was published in three volumes all translated in english by Yen Press.

Volume 1

This first volume adapts the first arc of the series called “The Capital City’s First Day!”.

Five chapters are included plus a prologue and epilogue in 240 pages.
